Goals This course aims to provide students with the basic concepts of macroeconomic analysis. It is a broadly-based introduction to the study of economics.
Course Content Topics: Macroeconomics: Basic Concepts Macroeconomic Aggregates: GDP nominal, real and measurement Macroeconomic Aggregates: Unemployment, Inflation, Interest Rate, Balance of Payments Agregate Expenditures Agregate Expenditure and Income Aggregate Supply and Demand: Macroeconomic Equlibrium Monetary Systems Money Aggregates and Macroeconomic Equilibrium Economic Growth
Learning Outcomes 1) Learn to understand and evaluate national and international economic developments from a multidimensional perspective.
2) Gain an understanding about the theoretical framework and operating mechanisms of economic models.
3) Evaluates economic growth and development processes in historical context.
4) Learn to use current quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques in economic analysis.
5) Learns the factors that bring about international trade, analyzes interventions in international trade in terms of efficiency and rent seeking.
6) Comprehend when comparing the determinants of economic growth between countries.
7) Lean to test economic hypotheses and approaches using quantitative methods.
8) Learn to develop alternative solutions, projects and activities to overcome the country's economic problems.
