Sociology graduates in Turkey are being employed in a variety of governmental institutions such as State Planning Administration, Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning, Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock, TRT and some other governmental bodies, holding various positions like specialist, advisor and researcher. In a country like Turkey that performs a rapid social change and development, societal planning and service provisions are being developed and planned by sociologists. Such a role of sociologists in Turkey pervasively comes into prominence. Besides those opportunities, sociology graduates do also have an opportunity to work as a teacher in line with the criteria set by Ministry of National Education.
