About Program
Explanation for the Instructional Program
At the measurement and evaluation department through the instructional program of master degree; knowledge and skills related with the fundamental concept of measurement and evaluation, developing and adapting psychological measurement tools (tests) which are used in measuring human behaviors and include basic measurement theories; application of tests and evaluating the results are taught. Within this framework, theoretical and practical courses which are based on measurement and evaluation, statistics, research methods, psychometrics, measuring psychological traits (intelligence, achievement, interest, attitude, personality etc.), developing and adapting psychological tools (test development) are taught.
Goals
Aim of the Instructional Program To educate experts and academicians in the field of measurement and evaluation who aim progress of mankind and better public welfare, produce and share knowledge in the field of measurement and evaluation, contribute to basing the produced and consumed knowledge on a scientific foundation, have scientific attitude and behavior, offer a solution to the problems in the field through scientific approach by using information and communication technology effectively, are open to development and perceive continuous development as a life-style, are able to think creatively and critically and who have comprehended the role of measurement and evaluation in the education, psychological services and education policy.

The Summary of the Program’s Competences, The ones graduated from the master program of measurement and evaluation should be expected to; * behave convenient to social, scientific, cultural values and the rules of professional ethic. *use Turkish effectively and properly, *approach to the problems with the scientific perspective, *research with using scientific knowledge and skills, *exhibit scientific attitude and behaviors in researches, *behave appropriate to the research and publication ethics, * get the responsibility of sharing the scientific researchers at national and international level in order to make beneficial, *improve the professional skills and abilities constantly.
