Goals To recognize and apply hospital information systems and related issues in order to ensure that health services in hospitals are carried out through computers by using the possibilities of technology.
Course Content Structure, management and functions of hospitals, information management systems, decision support systems, infrastructure of information technologies, standard codes in electronic patient records, basic features of hospital application programs, medical imaging technologies.
Learning Outcomes 1) Recognizes the structure and functions of hospitals.
2) Understands the importance of hospital information management systems.
3) Understands and applies the importance of electronic patient records.
