Goals The aim of the course is to use the language and concepts of ceramics, to comprehend the techniques of ceramics and to make applications for this.
Course Content Meeting, Course Introduction. Basic concepts and application of ceramic technique; sludge kneading, hand shaping, drying, firing, coloring. Term applications and evaluation.
Learning Outcomes 1) Recognize ceramic raw materials.
2) Gains knowledge and skills of kneading mud by hand.
3) Understand the importance of dry shrinkage and dry strength in the product.
4) Complies with workshop discipline and workshop conditions.
5) Learns the use of tools and equipment.
6) Understands the shaping property of plastic consistency sludge.
7) Apply the product coloring technique.
8) Learns loading and unloading of ceramic kiln.
