Goals To provide information about the health risks of chemicals used in our daily life and environmental pollutants to which we are exposed.
Course Content Introduction to Environmental Health Course; *Basic concepts of environmental health; *Acute and chronic toxicities of environmental pollutants; *Bioconcentration, bioaccumulation, biomagnification; *Air pollution and its importance; *Water pollution and its importance; *Effects of pesticide use on human health; *MIDTERM; *Global warming, ozone depletion in the atmosphere and its consequences; *Acid rain and its causes; *Environmental pollution caused by energy sources and their importance in terms of human health; *Environmental estrogens and their effects on human health; *Environmental monitoring methods I; *Environmental monitoring methods II;
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns the basic principles and terminology of Environmental Health
