Goals The aim of this course is to teach students sterilization and disinfection methods in order to provide general hygiene in areas such as homes, laboratories, workplaces, health institutions.
Course Content Concepts of Hygiene, Cleaning, Asepsis, Antisepsis, Sterilization and Disinfection; General Hygiene Rules in Home, Workplace, Laboratory, Health Institutions; Sterilization Methods; Physical sterilization; Heat sterilization; Moist heat sterilization; Dry heat sterilization; Sterilization by Filtration; disinfection; Disinfectants and Disinfection process; Mechanisms of action of disinfectants; disinfection applications
Learning Outcomes 1) The student knows and applies the concepts and methods of hygiene, cleaning, asepsis, antisepsis, sterilization and disinfection
2) The student knows and applies the concepts and methods of hygiene, cleaning, asepsis, antisepsis, sterilization and disinfection
3) Students will have information about how and how to disinfect areas such as homes, laboratories, workplaces, health institutions.
