Goals
To make definitions about hospital infections and to prevent them, and to be able to protect themselves against health infections from blood and blood-borne infections.
Course Content
All definitions and concepts related to nosocomial infections, all pathways to be protected from nosocomial infections, basic microbiology, blood and blood-borne diseases, precautions to be taken to prevent transmission of these diseases, definition of surgical field infections,
Learning Outcomes
1) Know general information about hospital infections.
2) System specific definitions of hospital infections are known.
3) Know the signs of hospital infections and take precautions for their development.
