Goals The main purposes of this lesson are to provide and introduce to basic notions and knowledge of Labour Law, to evaluation of these notions and knowledge, to provide to follow new publications within the framework of legal legislation in Labour Law.
Course Content The main titles in the content of this lecture are as follows: The termination of Labour Contract by mutual agreement, termination of fixed term contract, termination of labour contract due to dead, provisions and consequences of notice of termination, notice pay, compensation for bad faith damages, union pay, the notion of labour security, implementation conditions of labour security, valid reasons of termination, the procedure in termination, consequences of termination without a valid reason, dismissal in case of altered conditions of employment, breaking of labour contract for just cause by employee or employer, the notion and consequences of injustice termination of labour contract, the notion and conditions of severance pay, calculation of severance pay, responsibility of the new employer, obligation of giving certificate of employment and quittance.
Learning Outcomes 1) Defines the basic notions and institutions like employer, work place, termination of labour contract, severence pay and health and safety at work.
2) Compares and make interpets by distincting between the notions and institutions of Labour Law.
3) Follows the new regulations and amendments in Labour Law, and academic publications.
4) Evaluates the Court decisions about Labour Law and makes decisions about solutions by disputes, which arise from academic resources, and determine the problems, which arise in practice.
5) Takes responsibility as an individiul or team member to solve and research of complicated problems, criticize academic publications and court decisions, examine the disputes, which arise from labour practice.
6) Develops an attitude about life-time education, make research about subject, which he/she has a lack of knowledge, remember the basic notions and knowledge of Labour Law.
7) Takes part in occupational activities, project and social platform, which arise from relationship between employee and employer, transfer the solutions and considerations about labour law written or verbally, provide informations to individuals and/or institutiıns about labour law.
8) Evaluates and makes an effort to fair solutions of disputes within the framework of Constitional principles and basics according to working life.
