Goals The aim of the course is to examine and teach Near Eastern seal and seal impressions with their technical, stylistic and religious iconographic features following a chronological sequence.
Course Content Course includes the technical, style and iconography of the glyptic material of the Ancient Near East, especially Anatolian and Sumerian Akkad cultures and the Second and First Millennium cultures of Mesopotamia.
Learning Outcomes 1) Seals that are the most encountered material group in the museums gain historical knowledge and skill.
2) Examines the style and art concepts that change according to the periods.
3) From the Neolithic Age, the first period of use of the seals, He examines the development of the art of seal in the period of the First Millennium until the end of the 1st millennium BC.
