Goals The course intends to analyse the birth and the development of the Cultures of Egypt – one of the most powerful cultral states of the ancient Near East- from the beginning until into the New Kingdom period by studying the archaeological materials.
Course Content The course focuses on the formation process of the Egyptian Dynasties by discussing the predynastic periods and their impact on the foundation of the earliest dynsties of Egypt by the beginning of the 3rd Millennium BC. The next stage is the study of the development , and declines of the Egyptian Kingdoms from the Earliest until the New Kingdom
