Goals Learn the Archeology and Art of Assyrian and Babylon who founded the empire in North and South Mesopotamia
Course Content Investigation of material culture in the historical development of the period from the 1st millennium BC to 330 BC
Learning Outcomes 1) Northern and Southern Mesopotamia The first millennium political structure is examined in detail.
2) The way out of the main cities and the development and understanding of Late Assyrian and Late Babel architecture are examined.
3) Relations between Mesopotamia and neighboring cultural regions are examined in the First Millennium BC.
4) The influence of Mesopotamian art on different regions is discussed by examining the works of art and art appreciation.
5) In the light of monumental architectural examples, the palace art is studied in detail.
6) Political relations and social movements between Mesopotamia and the surrounding regions are examined in the light of written documents.
