Goals The aim of the lecture is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for the systems and other organs in the body, their anatomical, pathological, diagnostic and therapeutic medical terminologies, to be able to pronounce, write and use the terminology correctly. It is aimed to provide a healthy and correct communication between healthcare professionals and to teach medical terms necessary for the use of a common medical language.
Course Content Introduction to Medical Terminology, Latin General Definitions, Latin Roots and Prefixes, Latin Suffixes, Medical Terminology of the Skin, Musculoskeletal Medical Terminology, Nervous System Medical Terminology, Respiratory System Medical Terminology, Cardiovascular System Medical Terminology, Urogenital System Medical Terminology, Endocrine System Medical Terminology, Sense Organs Terminology.
Learning Outcomes 1) Students can define the basic grammatical features of Latin words in medical terminology.
2) Students can be define the most frequently used medical terms in the anatomical, pathological, diagnostic and therapeutic life of systems and organs in the body.
3) Students learn the necessary medical terms to ensure a healthy and correct communication between healthcare professionals and to use a common language.
