Goals This course is for seniors. It is intended to provide the students with an understanding of 20th-century American thought as reflected in the literary works of the second half of the century.
Course Content This course analyzes the 20th Century American novel.
Learning Outcomes 1) To analyze the historical, social, cultural, political, and literary incidents that affect the American novel within the concept of 20th century.
2) Explains the terms of modernism and postmodernism.
3) To enable students to read the 20th century American novel and analyze it according to iğts form, context, style and meaning.
