Goals To gain knowledge of animal ecology, to learn or reinforce the concepts of ecology, to comprehend animal-environment relations, to gain "SYSTEM" perspective on animal husbandry.
Course Content Teaching of ecology concepts; explanation of human, animal and environmental relations; explanation of the concepts of system and ecosystem; introduction of appropriate environmental conditions for animals and environmental requirements of various species; protection of animal genetic resources; Discussion of the effects of environmental pollution on animal husbandry and environmental pollution.
Learning Outcomes 1) Science of ecology and basic concepts of ecology are learned and understood.
2) System and ecosystem concepts are perceived.
3) Animal-environment relationships and environmental demands of the animal specieses are learned.
4) Adaptation mechanism of the animals are learned.
5) Interactions between climate change and animal husbandry are learned.
