Goals Introduction to morphologic properties of dental structures and oral cavity and enable students to understand restorative procedures and construction of basic principles for future dental applications.
Course Content Provides foundational knowledge regarding Primary dentition, Permanent dentition, Tooth numbering systems, Tooth classification (Incisors, Canines, Premolars, Molars), Set Traits (traits between Primary and Permanent dentition), Class traits (traits for each kind of tooth), Arch traits (traits of maxillary vs. mandibular), and Type traits (differences between teeth within the Class).teeth, characteristic properties of primary and permanent teeth, diffferential features of primary and permanent teeth.
Learning Outcomes 1) Utilize the knowledge of oral cavity and tooth morphology for restorative procedures
2) Discern the differences between permanent and primary teeth in diagnostic and treatment procedures
3) Use tooth numbering systems correctly
