Goals In this course the economical politics of the states and cities and coins issued until the Roman period are taught.
Course Content Goal of the course is to teach the student how to understand and how to research further the values that are rendered on the coins in the historical.
Learning Outcomes 1) Acquire knowledge about societies in classical cultures such as the Greek, Roman, Phrygian, Lydian and Persian, all of which have left their footprint in Asia Minor
2) Learn to identify artefacts from the classical period
3) Strengthen their ability to relate visual and material culture of one culture to other related cultures
4) Learn theoretical and practical methods in archaeology, and demonstrated how they are used in Greek and Roman contexts
5) Increase their ability to adjust and build on established archaeological methods
