Goals It is aimed to teach the terminology, new construction techniques, new architectural forms and new building types chronologically brought by the Romans. It will also be examined for differences from the ancient Greek architecture.
Course Content In this lecture will be examined architectural materials, techniques, architectural forms and new buildings types from the 10th century BC to the 4th century AD.
Learning Outcomes 1) General features of Roman period architecture know.
2) Students has knowledge of both the Roman city and the architectural development of the provinces in Roman Imperial Period
3) Students have knowledge of new building types and construction techniques during the Roman period.
4) Religious, public and civil architectural examples of Roman period examines.
5) The ability to make style-critical out of the way from the examples in the history of constructions gets.
