Goals The aim of this course; students' systems and other organs in the body, their anatomical, pathological, diagnostic and therapeutic medical terminology; In addition, it is to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies in order to have a good command of radiological terminology, to pronounce, write and use the terminology correctly. Also; It is to teach the medical terms necessary to ensure a healthy and correct communication between health workers and especially in the Radiology department and to use in medical language.
Course Content Introduction to Medical Terminology, Latin General Definitions, Latin Roots and Prefixes, Latin Suffixes, Medical Terminology of the Skin, Musculoskeletal Medical Terminology, Nervous System Medical Terminology, Respiratory System Medical Terminology, Cardiovascular System Medical Terminology, Urogenital System Medical Terminology, Endocrine System Medical Terminology Terminology, Introduction to Radiological Terminology, Radiological Terminology
Learning Outcomes 1) Students can define the basic grammatical features of Latin words in medical terminology.
2) Students can be define the most frequently used medical terms in the anatomical, pathological, diagnostic and therapeutic life of systems and organs in the body.
3) Students learn the necessary medical terms to ensure a healthy and correct communication between healthcare professionals and to use a common language.
4) Students know and use common terminological terms that are used effectively in the formation of international classification of diseases and diagnosis-related groups.
5) Students learn and use the Radiological anatomy and medical terms necessary for a healthy and correct communication between the staff in the Radiology department and for the use of a common language.
