Goals It is aimed that the student will be able to learn all the concepts related to general medical waste management, evaluate the subject with its technical and legal dimensions and apply the legislation when he/she enters the professional life.
Course Content Waste Management, Waste Classification, Waste Management Planning, Waste Management Hierarchy, PREVENTION or REDUCTION OF WASTE, Collection and packaging of waste, storage, transportation, Recycling, Medical Wastes and Definition of Medical Waste, Effects of Medical Wastes on Health, Concept of Risk and People at Risk, Hazards of Infected Waste and Cutters, Medical Waste Amount, General Principles to be Applied in Medical Waste Management, Obligations of Medical Waste Producers, Obligations of Municipalities, Disposal of Medical Wastes, Sterilization, Regulation on Control of Medical Wastes
