Goals General information about Anatolian architecture history of architecture and related terminology is thought. Besides, technical & architectural information about structural systems, building material, building componenets and elements as well as architectural design principles, architectural design & project phases are given. On the other hand, the ability of design at small scale structures that are the part of landscape design is gained.
Course Content Architecture whisch is the act of designing spaces and buildings for various activities of dailiy life is one of the main components of landscape. Besides, architecture is an important phenomenon in the determination of urban identity. The main goal of the course is to give the development of architecture through history and to act related terminology. Structural systems, walls, slabs, roofs, doors, windows straircases and building material in cases of construction techniques and design principles are evaluated. Besides, architectural design studies of some small scaled structures such as cafe's, guard cabins, buffets, beach structures, etc from the theoretihical base of the course.
Learning Outcomes 1) Discuss the terminology related with architecture
2) Interrelate architecture and architectural design studies with landscape planning and design studies
3) Discuss\evaluate the development of architecture throught history
4) Discuss all the components of architecture such as design approaches, structural systems, structural elements and building material are concerned.
