Goals It is aimed to design and use the plant material in terms of size, form, color and texture. It is aimed to design and use it in terms of aesthetic and functional. The design criteria for the use of wood as design element in cities as well as roads, buildings and road connections in cities are discussed.
Course Content In urban and rural open and green areas, it is aimed to make arrangements according to design principles and to examine successful examples by taking advantage of the measure, form, color and texture properties of plant material.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gaining knowledge about usage principles of plant material in design
2) Gaining knowledge about functional and aesthetic usage by grouping plant material according to measure feature
3) Students can use the most appropriate plant species to emphasize form and texture in design.
4) Gaining knowledge about usage of plants along with their flowers, leaves, body, foliage, branches and fruits in design
5) Gaining knowledge about the use of plants as horizontal and vertical siege elements in cities
6) The use of the most suitable plant material in design by examining the relationships of plants with structure, pedesterian zones and roads.
