Goals It is the first studio course in which the planning information given in the previous semesters is applied to the students over a selected area. In this context, the previous main courses carried out are: Resource Inventory and Analysis, Landscape Ecology, Urban and Regional Planning, Landscape Repair, Landscape Planning I and II. The aim of this course, which is conducted in the form of a studio lesson; to teach students the techniques of algorithmic thinking based on scientific knowledge within the context of spatial planning. Students are engaged in data collection, field work, data base building, basic landscape analysis and goal setting for the future.
Course Content Analysis of the natural and cultural landscape characteristics of the study area. Within the scope of preparation for Planning Studio 2 SWOT analysis, problem analysis, stakeholder analysis and goal setting.
Learning Outcomes 1) Uses cultural accumulation on physical planning in general
2) Understands the interactive and feedback stages of landscape planning
3) Make problem analysis
4) Can use the ability to identify actors that may be direct or indirect in the planning process
5) Can use in strengthening theoretical knowledge with practical studies
6) Comprehends the factors that make the landscape planning process possible and limited under the conditions of our country before the graduation.
7) Have accumulation on different field usage types, interactions, spatial demands
8) Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the planning process, it improves communication ability based on knowledge-coordination.
9) Gain knowledge and ability to use landscape, land inventory and evaluation techniques, use of GIS and use of computers in design and planning processes
