Goals
to help the student understand the basic and subsidiary sources of Islamic law, the formation and development process of legal procedure, the methods of making judgments from basic sources.
Course Content
Basic sources of Islamic law (Quran, Sunnah, İjma, analogy), formation anda development of Islamic law, provisions related to the law of quran and sunnah.
Learning Outcomes
1) Having a fair knowledge of basic characteritics of Muslim family law.
2) Understanding the meaning, significance and legal characteritics of the concepts of marriage and family
3) Being aware of the situations that may hinder marriage
4) Being alike to differentiate between the cases that may terminate the marriage and the kinds of divorce.
