Goals It is aimed to make subject-centered hadith readings taking into account the basic concepts and sources of hadith identification and to introduce the literature of hadiths related to these topics. Learning the various genres of the hadith literature and recognizing the historical background of hadith works through a study of selected reperesentative texts.
Course Content In this course, the texts are read from the original hadiths sources belonging to the classical periods, the technical terms used in these texts are handled, and information about the works and their features are given.
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns about the compilers of the hadith collections, their contents, and their characteristics.
2) Discusses genres of hadith collections, and the background of their compilation with an analythical perspective.
3) Reads, understands and evaluates the hadith sources from their original Arabic versions.
