Goals Giving basic information about the religions, instructing on fundemantal tenets and terms of the religions, describing the religions objectively.
Course Content Examining of History of Religions through the topics such as religious symbols, God/spritual beings, prophet/founder, sacred text, worship, sacred places, sacred times, holy person, death and approach to the other and comparing the religions with similarities and dissimilarities in these themes.
Learning Outcomes 1) It is gained profound knowledge on the fundemantal tenets and symbols of the religions.
2) It is examined basic beliefs of the religions within the framework of their historical evolution.
3) Examing the religions from their sources, it is offered objective knowledge about the religions to Turkish society.
4) It is obtained profound information on the literature about the religions through following new studies and other scientific devolepments.
5) It is learned the influence of the relations between religions on the social life.
