Goals To teach the basic concepts of digital electronics, to introduce the numerical systems and codes related to digital logic circuits, to understand the logic gates and operations, to simplify the digital circuits using Boolean expressions and karnough maps, to understand the logic of combinational and programmable logic integrations. understanding of this course is among the main objectives of this course.
Course Content 1. Introduction to digital systems. 2. Transformations between number bases. 3. Numerical coding. 4. Boolean Algebra 5. Maxterm - Minterm concepts 6. Simplification in digital circuits and Karnaugh Map 7. Does not matter 8. Design of composite logic circuits with one type gate 9. Post-visa sample question solutions. 10. Multiplexers-Demultiplexers (Mux-Demux) 11. Arithmetic operations 12. Complementary Arithmetic 13. Memory Types (ROM and RAM) 14. Programmable Logic Circuits
