Goals The aim of this course,necessary information about care services, to create the ability to provide maintenance services for integrating skills and values.
Course Content The medical team and professional roles, professional code of ethics, patient safety and ensuring patient safety in the elderly, definitions related to aging and old age, Homeostasis, basic needs and activities of daily living elderly, the basic rules for the conduct of treatments in the elderly, evaluation by elderly care technician of the elderly and physical examination, care plan implementation, healthy hospital environment and elderly units, vital signs, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory measurement and recording, old skin and self-care practices, old movement requirements, mobilization and body mechanics, bed making, comfortable hospitalization positions, Asepsis, antisepsis and hospital infections.
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain and discuss the basic concepts related to health profession.
2) Explain and discuss the basic needs of the elderly.
3) Discuss applications for the elderly care and make plans.
4) Monitoring of vital signs of elderly individuals, registration, health professionals are involved in the transmission of abnormal findings.
5) In all matters relating to elderly care pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
6) Assume responsibility for their maintenance equipment.
7) It ensures conformity of the care given environment, makes the control and inspection.
