Goals The aim of this course, necessary information to create the ability to provide maintenance services for integrating skills and values.
Course Content Determination of basic needs and care plan applications, Bed making and positioning applications, Skin care, hand and foot care, nail care applications, Vital signs, measurement, evaluation and recording, Urinary incontinence care applications and urinary catheter application, Feeding applications by oral route and gavage in patients with impaired oral intake, Wound care and dressing applications, Oral medication applications, Parenteral medication applications, Providing education to the elderly and family/caregivers, Working with case examples constitute the content part.
Learning Outcomes 1) Identify the basic needs of elderly individuals and plans treatments.
2) Act in accordance with cleanliness and hygiene.
3) Assume responsibility for care equipment.
4) Treatments to provide the suitability of the environment.
5) It provides training to the elderly and their families for the care of the elderly.
6) In the care of elderly individuals advises the elderly and their families.
7) Older people's care records made in the application form in accordance with the institution.
8) It collaborates with team practice in elderly care.
9) Current issues related to elderly care and uses the means of communication for the detection of potential problems.
10) Following new developments related to elderly care, care practices to integrate new developments.
11) Conforms to the principles of professional in elderly care practice .
