Goals At the end this semestre; Social Psychiatry Professionals are going to define the Epidemiology (Research Methods) content, understand the importance of evidence-based decision-making, and acquiring skills the research planning, execution and reporting )
Course Content At the end this semestre; Social Psychiatry Professionals are going to have knowledge, attitudes and skills about Decision making in medicine: Evidence Based Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics Definitions, and scope, Health State Indicators, Studies Design, Sampling and Calculate Sample Size, Variables, Prepare Database at SPSS, Data Collections Methods, Presentation of Data by Tables and Graphics, Critical Reading and Writing article/report, Ethical issues on studie and article’s.
Learning Outcomes 1) Define the basic concept of Epidemiology
2) Calculates the morbidity, mortality etc health status indicators
3) Define the basic principals of epiemiological studies
4) Aplies the basic biostatistics methods
5) Choses the sample method according to study aim's
6) Calculates the sample size
7) Prepares the Database at SPSS, according to study variable’
8) Choses the data collection method according to study aim's
9) Prepares the presentation according to the principles of table and charts preparation rules
10) Reads critical according to writing article rule's
11) Define the writing article rule's
