Goals Education of student in horse breeding.
Course Content Horse Breeding in World and Europe, Horse Breeding in Turkey, Origin of horse and classification of horse breeds, cold and hot blood horse breeds, Morphological and functional breed traits of Arabian horse, Morphological and functional breed traits of English thoroughbred, Morphological and functional breed traits of other horse breeds, Morphological and functional breed traits of other horse breeds, Coat colours and sings marks and gaits of horse, Horse care and management, Stables and hygiene of stables, Stables and hygiene of stables, Age estimation and body sizes of horses, Horse races and race organization, Horse races and race organization
Learning Outcomes 1) Has a knowledge abot origin of the horse, cold and warm blooded breeds
2) Understand the morphological and functional characteristics of the Arabian, English Thoughbreed and the Haflinger Horses
3) Has a knowledge about coat colours and markings, care and mangement, walking and running types
4) Has a knowledge about stables and stable hygiene, deteremining age and body measurements
5) Has a knowledge about horse racing and race organization
