Goals This course is designed to enable students to initiate an inquiry on the news. The conceptual infrastructure of these interrogations is ensured by discussing different approaches to the news. In particular, the liberal news approach, which emphasizes the fact that the news is objective and impartial, and the critical approaches that emphasize the founding nature of the ideological and reality of the news are discussed relationally. News as a type of information and media product are examined in terms of the production process, the structure of the text itself, and the relations of readers / audiance with the news. In addition, the transformational effects of new media technology on news are also reviewed.
