Goals At the end of the course, students are expected to learn models, theories, approaches, and techniques of career counselling, and to develop skills in order to use them in their career counselling services.
Course Content Paradigm Changes in Career Counselling, Competencies of Career Counsellors, Basic Concepts in Career Counselling,.Factors Influencing Career Development of an Individual , Career Planning Process, Threat and Factor Theories and Models (Parsons, Holland), Developmental Theories (Ginzberg, Super), Social-Cognitive Approaches, Career Information and Resources, Employability Skills (Job Search, CV Writing, Interview Techniques).
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain main competencies of career counsellors.
2) Explain process of career counselling.
3) Understand factors that influence individual career development
4) Able to help clients to prepare their individual career goals and put them into action.
5) Be able to use different career theories and models to help his/her clients
6) Be able to use special techniques while helping problematic clints, and special population.
7) Having knowledge and skills to use computer assisted career counselling systems
