Goals The concept of prehistoric archaeology and general information related to this concept.
Course Content The place of prehistoric archaeology in the archaeological disciplines and humanity and earth history in the context of time and space is emphasized, the basic information about the furthest history of humanity is given the palaeoecological frame.
Learning Outcomes 1) Introduction to the Archaeology of Anatolia
2) The general terms and concept concerned with the prehistoric archaeology
3) The interdisciplinary relations between the prehistoric archaeology and the earth sciences
4) Chronological development of architecture in Anatolia is discussed
5) Chronological development of pottery traditions in Anatolia is discussed
6) The techno-typology of knapped stone tools in the prehistoric periods
7) The Pleistocene period’s ecology
8) Students learn about the interconnections between Anatolia and her surrounding regions and get a chance to see the effects and changes reflected on various cultures.
