Goals In order for the plant material to be used correctly in the design, planning and application studies of the landscape architecture, it must first be well known. Plants as live materials show different characteristics, require different environmental conditions, vary according to years and seasons. Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to introduce characteristics of open-seeded (Gymnospermae) plants and their requirements in different landscape architecture studies.
Course Content In this course, open seeded (Gymnospermae) plants used in landscape architecture studies are introduced. Origin of open seed plants; features such as form, trunk, shoot, leaf, flower, fruit / cone; climate, soil, environmental aspirations; functional and aesthetic features are explain and detailed information about how can be used is given.
Learning Outcomes 1) Identify open-seeded (Gymnospermae) plants and distinguish them according to their qualities.
2) Selects the appropriate areas according to the ecological requirements of open-seeded (Gymnospermae) plants.
3) Evaluates the usage areas of open-seeded (Gymnospermae) plants in landscape architecture studies.
