Goals Provide the fundamental knowledge of concepts associated with landscape planning. Exploration of the legal framework that governs landscape planning practices in Turkey, detailing the various regulations, policies, and statutes that influence landscape projects. Encourage students to adopt a systematic thinking approach. Fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities that are essential for addressing the multifaceted challenges.
Course Content Fundamental concepts of landscape planning. The legal framework for spatial plans in Turkey. The hierarchy of these plans, and the main government agencies involved. The strategic planning process includes SWOT analysis, problem tree analysis, and the formulation of vision, goals, and objectives.
Learning Outcomes 1) Have knowledge about landscape planning concept and processes.
2) Have information about the structure of planning hierarchy in our country.
3) Have information about the legal-administrative framework for planning.
4) The relationship between planner disciplines can be established and turned to interdisciplinary work.
5) Examples of planning in different sectors and subjects can be analyzed and contributed.
6) Have knowledge about for other planning courses and planning studio works which will form the basis information.
