Goals To inform about planning of farm structures, calculation of irrigation water requirements, irrigation methods, irrigation systems, establishment of irrigation systems, irrigation water quality and drainage systems.
Course Content Rural Settlements, Infrastructure Issues, Land Consolidation, Construction and Planning of Agricultural Structures, Environmental Conditions in Agricultural Buildings, Structures of Animal Production, Crop Production Structures, Irrigation Definition and Application Areas, Water Resources and Irrigation Management, Soil Plant Water Relations, Irrigation Systems, Irrigation methods-surface irrigation methods, irrigation methods-Pressure Irrigation methods, Hydraulics and Hydrology, agricultural drainage, importance, benefits, problems, drainage methods, problematic Soils and Irrigation Water Quality
