Goals The main purpose of this lesson is to gain knowledge about irrigation water quality related problems and their solutions in irrigated areas, and providing instruments using methods and practices as well as some ion analysis methods and practices by laboratory analysis.
Course Content Salinity problems and distribution over the world, Turkey water resources capacity and salinity related problems, Irrigation water quality concept, Irrigation water evaluation and classifications, Leaching Fraction and Leaching requirement, Salinity effect on soils, Salinity effects on plants, Monitoring and evaluations of salinity, Salinity management, Infiltration problems and solutions, Toxsisity problems and solutions, Other problems and solutions
Learning Outcomes 1) Knowing why we should evaluate irrigation water quality
2) Can evaluate the irrigation water quality
3) Knowing quality parameters and its usage
4) Can monitor wordwide water quality studies
5) Can evaluate laboratory analysis of irrigati,on water quality
