Goals Properties of aromatic compounds, their nomenclature, synthesis paths of substituted aromatic compounds, their reactions and reaction mechanisms, nomenclature of heterocyclic compounds and synthesis paths are included in the course. In this way, it has an educational purpose that will form the basis of a pharmaceutical chemistry course.
Course Content General information about aromatic compounds, concept of aromaticity and aromatic properties, aromatic, heteroaromatic compounds and their nomenclature, electrophilic substitution reactions and their mechanisms for aromatic compounds, synthesis and reactions of substituted benzene derivatives are examined. General information about heterocycle compounds, definition and classification, their nomenclature, general synthesis of heterocycles are explained. Examples of the synthesis of drug substances containing aromatic, heteroaromatic and various functional groups are given.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gives information for physical and chemical properties and synthesis reactions of organic and pharmaceutical substances.
2) Knows the information such as design, synthesis, analysis and pharmacokinetics of pharmaceutical products
3) Gives scientific and technological information of synthetic organic substances as a chemical and physical meaning.
4) Gives consulting about pharmaceutical teamwork, research and development.
