Goals Aims to train prospective pharmacists to become capable in interpreting the basic biochemical parameters in the diagnosis and follow up diseases.
Course Content The importance of clinical biochemistry in the pharmacy education, Units in clinical biochemistry, Factors affecting the test results and drug interference, Carbohydrate metabolism disorders, evaluation test results in diabetes, endocrine system dysfunction, thyroid and liver function tests, Lipids and dislipidemia, Renal function tests and evaluation, water and electrolytes, acid-base balance, Importancecalcium and phosphorus in clinical biochemistry, Tests for cardiovascular diseases, Blood and urine analyses, Tumor markers.
Learning Outcomes 1) Interprets biochemical parameters in the diagnosis treatment planning and follow up of diseases and inorder to increase the quality of life.
2) Will be proficient to accomplish and advanced research project and will be competant for public education and guadiance in the field of medicine.
3) Will be competant in self-improvement, long-life lerning and anlargement at pharmaceutical sciences.
