Goals At the end of this course, the student will have general knowledge about natural drug raw materials and the infrastructure related to the drugs obtained from these drug raw materials. It can also serve as a basis for vocational courses for the area that he or she chooses to take in the following years, exploring the daily vitality and importance of natural drug raw materials and drugs.
Course Content Microscopic features of alkaloid-bearing drugs, recognition reactions, pharmacopoeial analysis, acquisition of important agents for pharmacy from this droplet, quantitative methods, qualitative experiments are included.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gain experience with experiments that constitute the practical applications of alkaloid-containing drugs which constitute the subject of pharmacognosy. Various color reactions and analysis methods are learned during these experiments.
2) Diagnosis, analysis, quantity determination, quality control, purity control of natural pharmaceutical raw materials and medical plants are carried out
3) Gain the ability to apply knowledge in the field of study.
4) Gains knowledge and skills about daily use of medical plants and natural products.
5) It provides scientific data on the use of natural products and foodstuff products for collecting and other healthcare personnel.
6) Effective communication with patients and other healthcare personnel in pharmacy.
7) It provides counseling to patients, patients and other health workers on the rational, safe use and pharmacovigilance of medicinal and non-medicinal medicinal products.
