Goals To provide the students with the basic concepts and theories related to the field of personality theories
Course Content Definition of personality and factors affecting personality development, personality classifications, characteristics of a good theory, theories of personality characteristics, theoretical approaches to personality, measurement of personality, mainly personality theories and theorists (Freud, Adler, Jung, Horney, Allport, Maslow, Rogers, Eysenck, Cattell, Big Five, etc.)
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the relationship science, theories and hypotheses
2) Explains the basic concepts in regard to structure, functioning and development of personality
3) Classify the factors that affect personality development
4) Know the application fields of the theory of personality
5) Knows and critically evaluates personality assessment instruments
6) Describe similarities and differences by comparing basic approaches to explain personality
7) Explains similarities and differences by comparing different theories of personality
8) Describes the strengths and weaknesses of various theories of personality .
9) Apply basic knowledge acquired from the theory of personality.
10) Discuss the relationship between personality development and personal and social adjustment, psychological well-being and mental health
11) Gives examples of how personality theories are transferred into practice in Psychological Counselling and Guidance
