Goals It is aimed to compare scientific, managerial and political aspects of natural resource management and policy initiatives.
Course Content Balancing the use and conservation of resources, ecosystem management, bioregional planning, holistic conservation and development policies, cross-border approaches and applicable management, challenges in sustainable soil, land and ecosystem management, and science and policy interfaces, basic concepts and contents of different platforms, panels and programs, use of an interdisciplinary unifying conceptual framework, comparison of scientific, managerial, and political elements, United Nations, Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Intergovernmental Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Science Policy Interface Platform (IPBES), national land protection policies, analysis of legal regulations and practices, analysis and evaluation of selected policy and project implementations.
Learning Outcomes 1) Have knowledge about ecosystem management.
2) To be informed on land conservation and environment.
3) To use of natural resources and comparison of scientific, managerial and political elements related to sustainable environmental management.
