Goals It is aimed to inform the students about the definition and basic concepts of economics, market behavior models, microeconomics and macroeconomic growth models.
Course Content Definition and basic concepts of economics, shortage, preferences and utility, market concept and types, demand function and analysis, supply function and analysis, elasticity concepts and measures, supply and demand applications, production theory and cost functions, perfect competition market, , Application of standard microeconomic theory elements in firm decision making process, demand and forecasting, production and cost functions, market behavior models, Regulation and antitrust actions, microeconomics macroeconomic transition, national income accounting, aggregate demand and supply analysis, macroeconomic equilibrium, money, monetary system and banks, international trade and economic growth, macroeconomic concepts in decision making process, money and capital Monetary and fiscal policies, total economic theory, concepts of growth and development, measurement and politics.
Learning Outcomes 1) Teaches the development and the current state of economics as a social science discipline
2) Learn basic principles, terms and concepts of economics.
3) Has an idea about the relationship with economics and other sciences.
