Mode of delivery The course is conducted in the context of oral presentations and case studies to demonstrate the application of the lectured subjects. Wherever necessary, decisions of the Court of Cassation are being examined. All materials used for the given objectives are shared with students. It is recommended that the course is accompanied by at least one course book and absolutely by the text of the Turkish Civil Code.

Goals To ensure that the students from the departments of Political Science & Public Administration and International Relations have the fundamental knowledge in the field of Civil Law (specifically in the preliminary provisions, Law of Persons and Family Law) and that they can make legal assessment in this field.
Course Content The course of Civil Law involves the preliminary provisions of the Turkish Civil Code, Law of Persons and Family Law.
Learning Outcomes 1) To have the fundamental knowledge about the content and function of Civil Law
2) To have the knowledge about the system of Turkish Civil Code
3) To learn solving legal problems based on Civil Law (specifically on the preliminary provisions, Law of Persons and Family Law)
