Goals To develop students' skills to read, analyse and discuss those texts which have been accepted to be classic in financial and economic theory.
Course Content In the first part of the semester the basic economic and social analyses of Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations are discussed. In the later part, Ricardo’s analyses related to economics and public finance included in The Principles of Political Economy and Taxation are examined.
Learning Outcomes 1) An understanding of the basic concepts of the financial and economic analysis
2) An understanding of the methodology of the financial and economic thought
3) A skill of the evaluation of the financial and economic policies
