Goals The student is to gain basic knowledge on Occupational Health and Safety. It is aimed to provide detailed information in order to ensure that the risk factors existing in the workplace can be classified. It is aimed to examine the jobs in important sectors in terms of work accident and occupational diseases. It is aimed that the students are to have the knowledge about the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
Course Content Fundamental Definitions, importance and purpose of Occupational Health and Safety, An overview of occupational health and safety, Development of Concepts and Rules of Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety Culture, Occupational Health and Safety in law, Work Accidents, Working environment surveillance
Learning Outcomes 1) Defines the concept of occupational health and safety, defines the development until today. Defines the contemporary occupational health and safety approach and determines the implementation principles
2) Describes the physical, biological, ergonomic, psychosocial and chemical risk factors affecting the health of the employees negatively in the workplace, specifies measurement methods.
3) Specifies the precautions required to be taken to protect from the fire by identifying the fire.
