Goals This course aims to provide students with key concepts in communication law. It is designed to familiarize students with the relationship between fundamental rights and freedoms and communication field. It also introduces Intellectual Property Rights.
Course Content Communication within the framework of fundamental rights and freedoms; the freedom of communication; regulation of press and judicial responsabilities; regulation of radio and television; technological development and law; protection of intellectual rights.
Learning Outcomes 1) Evaluates communication within the framework of fundamental rights and freedoms.
2) Explains agents and methods of regulation and control on communication.
3) Understands the development of communication freedom in Turkey.
4) Analyzes the concept of communication freedom.
5) Explains the aspects and principals of press regulation.
6) Explains the aspects and principals of radio and television regulation.
7) Comprehends solution of law for technological developments.
8) Explains the aspects and principals of the intellectual property regulations.
