Goals The purpose of this course is to define institutionalization of political communication in liberal democracies and its transformation by examining main stream and critical dimensions of political communication in its historical development process.
Course Content The role and function of political communication in modern democracies, social impacts, and the main actors in this process are discussed in the framework of different paradigms.
Learning Outcomes 1) The course defines the connection between politics and communication notions
2) The course distinguish the political communication's fundamental player
3) The course clarifies the different politcal communication conceptions
4) The course distinguish the basic claims of main stream and critical paradigms about political communication
5) The course defines the difference between the freedom of communication and freedom of the press
6) The course defines the historical development and institution process of political communication in liberal democracy
7) The course defines the political communication's developmental stages as an academical fields after 1950
8) The course defines the relationship between new liberal economic policies and new tendency in political communications
9) The course evaluate the role of experts and professionals in political communication
10) The course comments the results of the specialisation of political decision-making process
11) The course evaluates the results of the professionalization of political campaigns
12) The course evaluates the relationship between political communication, new social movements and freedom of communication
13) .The course defines the international aspects of the process of knowledge and power divisions
