Goals The course focuses on the concept of ethics and discusses this concept in the field of communication. In this context, ethical and ethical theories are discussed first, and then ethics is discussed in the fields of communication, journalism, advertising, public relations and new media.
Course Content The course focuses on ethical thinking after discussing ethical theories. In the context of professional ethics, it is aimed to develop "ethical thinking" skills in the field of journalism, advertisement, marketing, new media and public relations. Discussions are conducted by using case studies.
Learning Outcomes 1) Evaluates ethical theories and can discuss in the field of communication.
2) Can think about journalism, advertisement, television, public relations and new media professional ethics.
3) Improves ethical decision making skills.
4) Explains the adaptability of the deontological approach to professional ethics of public relations.
5) Explains the adaptability of the teological approach to professional ethics of public relations..
6) Explains the historical, social and economic conditions of the profession public relations ethic.
